If it was up to Ole Miss quarterback Bo Wallace, every play would be up tempo and not involve a huddle in between. Wallace likes to go at a fast pace and while Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze does too, there is a balancing act both have to deal with each and every game.
Freeze was asked about going slow compared to going fast during a game Monday and his answers on the subject varied based on the team the Rebels were playing each week. (October 31, 2012, Page 6)
Hugh Freeze’s excitement level was still high almost 48 hours after his Ole Miss Rebels defeated Arkansas at War Memorial Stadium on Saturday.

If the tackles are the strongest part of the defensive line and the cornerbacks are the deepest part of the secondary, then the linebackers are arguably the deepest position on Ole Miss’ new-look defense.
Even without D.T. Shackelford in the linebacker rotation, the Rebels have as much experience returning as any defensive position heading into the 2012 season. Junior Mike Marry has made 10 starts and played in 22 games the past two years, while senior Joel Kight has played in 37 games during his career and made 114 tackles. Serderius Bryant was listed as the third stinger going into the summer despite the fact he started three games, played in all 12 contests and made 61 tackles as a true freshman.
