Rebels notch 3-1 victory over rival Mississippi St.

Playing against its intrastate conference rival on national TV, the Ole Miss volleyball team shined. Ole Miss begins SEC play with home match against No. 3 Florida

Classic weekend for OM volleyball

The Ole Miss volleyball team kept its composure and rebounded from a first set loss to defeat Louisiana-Lafayette 3-1 (20-25, 25-19, 25-15, 25-14) in the Rebel Classic championship on Saturday evening at the Gillom Sports Center. Ole Miss has good weekend on pitch, court

The Ole Miss soccer team continued its winning ways over the weekend with an 8-0 win over Arkansas-Little Rock on Friday and a 2-0 victory over Texas Tech on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Lady Rebel volleyball squad got back in the win column after a slow start in Miami with a 2-1 showing at the Xavier Invitational this past weekend.

Lady Rebs looking to rebound

The Ole Miss soccer and volleyball programs have had a rather difficult week.

While the soccer squad lost at No. 20 Tennessee 4-3 in overtime on Friday and then 3-0 at Georgia on Sunday, the volleyball Rebs lost to Kentucky 3-1 (25-19, 19-25, 25-14, 25-19) on Friday and to No. 19 Tennessee 3-2 (25-22, 17-25, 21-25, 25-21, 15-13) on Sunday. (more…) (October 13, 2011, Page 7)

Ole Miss claims fifth-straight Magnolia Invitational title

Back at the friendly confines of the Gillom Center for the first time this season, the Ole Miss volleyball team took care of business this weekend to claim the Magnolia Invitational crown.

After defeating Arkansas-Little Rock 3-0 (25-19, 26-24, 25-21) and Northwestern 3-1 (25-21, 20-25, 31-29, 25-20) on Friday, the Lady Rebels finished the weekend sweep by topping Central Arkansas 3-0 (25-22, 25-19, 25-13) on Saturday. (more…) (September 12, 2011, Page 4B)

OM soccer, volleyball looking to bounce back

Both the Ole Miss soccer and volleyball programs will be looking to get back in the win column this weekend after working through difficult road trips last week.
