OXFORD TOWN – Our community has a vast supply of restaurants and bars that double as music venues. Guests are able to find breakfast, lunch, dinner and a plethora of drinks — not to mention, almost any musical genre. But … where’s a cool, laid back acoustic venue? Country Boy Rolling Stone Releases new album

OXFORD TOWN – That’s W.S. “Fluke Holland to the left. Holland was Johnny Cash’s  longtime drummer and one of the original Tennessee Three. He, along with several Oxford Musicians, recently recorded a new album with Country Boy Rolling Stone entitled “Honky Tonking Too Long.” The project, inspired by the late Jim Dickinson and formed by Grenada resident Bill Crowder, has ties and sounds reminiscent of  Cash. Page 5 in this week’s issue of Oxford Town has Jeff McVay’s coverage of the very cool new CD that’s loaded and top-heavy with Oxford musicians and legends. (September 2, 2010, Page 5)
