OHS track earns top-10 finishes in Houston Classic

WEST POINT—The Oxford High boys and girls basketball teams have secured spots in next week’s MHSAA Class 5A state playoffs. The only thing left to figure out is what seed will they be after Friday’s Division 2-5A Tournament championship games. Chargers blow past Coldwater on Senior Night

Oxford High’s seniors played their final game in front of their home fans Thursday night. It played out like the rest of them did this season. The Chargers capped the regular season with a 74-53 victory over Coldwater on Senior Night at the Oxford High gym to continue their push toward the postseason. OHS hoops sweeps Starkville Academy

Starkville Academy threw a variety of zone defenses at Oxford on Saturday night. That suited the Chargers just fine. Oxford (2-0) made a living shooting over the top of the Volunteers all night, using a fast start to cruise to a 79-55 victory in the Public vs. Private Challenge at the new Oxford High gym. (November 16, 2014, Page 5B)

Oxford takes 5A state championship

PEARL — After narrowly missing out on a state championship last year, the Oxford boys track team reached the top of the mountain this time, winning the MHSAA Class 5A state meet at the Woody Barnett Track & Field Complex in Pearl on Monday. (May 13, 2014, Page 6)

Chargers hold off Green Wave

An offensive mishap nearly cost Oxford its first district win of the season.
