State gives OSD ‘A’ rating

Overall, area schools have shown improvement in state test achievements and academic growth according to the 2013 accountability ratings released Thursday by the Mississippi Department of Education.
There were 18 A-rated districts in the 2012-2013 school year with the Oxford School District being one of them. (September 13, 2013, Page 1A, 5A)

Four juveniles arrested after a fight at OMS

Four juveniles were arrested Friday after a fight at Oxford Middle School led to one staff member and a school resource officer being injured. (January 23, 2012, Page 2A)

OMS principal hired to head LHS

Patrick Robinson resigned from Oxford School District and was hired by Lafayette School District on Monday. Robinson will be the new principal at LHS. Jeff Clay was hired to become the new principal at OMS. (June 28, 2011, Page 2)
