Litter group still going strong

Keep Oxford and Lafayette County Litter Free, a group that was started to discuss solutions to the area’s litter problem, is already planning for its next meeting in hopes that the momentum gained thus far will continue throughout the year. (May 18, 2015, Page 1)

MDOT crews continue work on sinkhole

Workers continue to make repairs caused by a sinkhole this morning on Highway 6. Discount Building employee Mitch McCoy saw the sinkhole while driving Wednesday morning and directed traffic away until help arrived.

Sunday Focus – Bridge replaced

The 1950s-era, steel-truss bridge over the Tallahatchie River on the northern border of Lafayette County on Highway 7 is being taken down. Traffic has been successfully switched over to a new, more spacious and modern bridge. (March 1, 2015, Page 1A)
