Ole Miss downs A&M for fourth straight win

Ole Miss is playing like it wants to be a part of the NCAA Tournament. The Rebels got enough offense outside of their regular options and coupled it with some stout defense to strengthen their postseason resume with a 69-59 victory over Texas A&M on Wednesday at C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum. Stefan Moody scored a game-high 19 points for the Rebels (15-7, 6-3 Southeastern Conference), who won their fourth straight game and picked up their third top-50 RPI win in the process. Forward M.J. Rhett added 11 points. (February 5, 2015, Page 2B)

Ole Miss looks to start fast at Mizzou

Ole Miss has won its last two games, but the Rebels have had to exert a lot of energy to do so. The Rebels (13-7, 4-3 Southeastern Conference) will try to make it three straight wins with a trip to Missouri this Saturday (3 p.m., FSN). But should the Rebels fall in an early hole on the road, they might not be able to climb out of it. (January 30, 2015, Page 6A, 7A)

Summers, Rebels rally past Mississippi State

Jarvis Summers had gone his whole career as a winner against his biggest rival on his home court. He had no plans of tarnishing that on the last try. Summers scored 22 points, all in the second half, and Ole Miss overcame a hot shooting night from Mississippi State to rally for a 79-73 victory Wednesday night at C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum. (January 29, 2015, Page 6A, 7A)

Ole Miss makes FTs, hold on to beat Florida

Ole Miss needed every bit of its accuracy from the free throw line Saturday. Jarvis Summers scored a team-high 16 points, including a pair of free throws in the final seconds to put Ole Miss up for good, and the Rebels hung on for a 72-71 win over Florida at C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum. (January 25, 2015, Page 1B, 4B)

Rebels look to reverse home trend against Gators

Ole Miss will return home this weekend after spending more than a week on the road. That hasn’t always been a good thing. The Rebels have more losses at C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum (4) than they do outside of their own building and are just one game above .500 there. Ole Miss can improve on that against Florida on Saturday (5 p.m., SEC Network) in a game the Rebels almost have to have for any NCAA Tournament aspirations. (January 23, 2015, Page 7)

Ole Miss fizzles down the stretch, falls to Bulldogs on road

ATHENS, Ga. (AP) — Georgia was primed for a letdown. The Bulldogs were tired. They weren’t playing another big rival. There were plenty of empty seats at Stegeman Coliseum. Yet, after a sluggish start, Georgia found a way to pull out its third straight Southeastern Conference win. Marcus Thornton scored 16 points and came up with a huge steal late in the game, J.J. Frazier made a couple of big 3s, and Charles Mann rebounded from a scoreless first half to lead the Bulldogs past Ole Miss, 69-64, on Tuesday night. (January 21, 2015, Page 1B, 4B)

Hot shooting leads Ole Miss past No. 19 Arkansas on road

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Stefan Moody had 18 points as Mississippi shot a season-high 56.4 percent in a 96-82 win over No. 19 Arkansas on Saturday night. Five players finished in double figures for the Rebels (11-6, 2-3 Southeastern Conference), who were playing their first road game since a crushing overtime loss at Kentucky. (January 18, 2015, Page 1B)
