Henderson’s shot keys OT victory

Marshall Henderson’s folk hero status grew again on Tuesday night, as Ole Miss came surging back to life to defeat Vanderbilt in overtime 89-79 at Memorial Gym. The win was Ole Miss’ first at Memorial Gym since 2001, the year they advanced to the Sweet Sixteen. Rebels still win despite sluggish start

Energy and effort were issues for the Ole Miss Rebels on Tuesday night in their game with McNeese State at C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum.

While the Rebels were able to find another gear in the second half to post a 76-50 win over the Cowboys, coach Andy Kennedy thought the overall production and energy level was less than ideal. Senior Murphy Holloway ended up leading the Rebels with 15 points on a 7-for-7 night shooting from the floor, but overall the offense struggled to find much of a rhythm. (November 21, 2012, Page 6)
