LHS girls finish 2nd in region

It was good start to the postseason for the defending Class 4A state champions as the Lafayette High girls track team won the Division 2-4A title Thursday at the Potts Camp Sports Complex. (April 19, 2015, Page 2B)

Oxford boys, girls win EAGLE Invitational

The Oxford High track teams ran past the competition at The Oxford EAGLE Invitational on Saturday at Bobby Holcomb Field. The Chargers took the boys title with 184 points while the Lady Chargers tallied 148 points to earn the victory. The closest either of Tupelo’s teams, which both finished runner-up, came was on the boys’ side, where the Golden Wave had 117 points. (April 5, 2015, Page 2B)

Oxford, Lafayette split rivalry games

Rivalry week between the Lafayette and Oxford school districts  continued Tuesday night with middle school football action at Bobby Holcomb Field.

The Chargers won the seventh-grade game 26-6, while the Commodores took the eighth-grade game in the nightcap 16-0. (September 1, 2010, Page 7)
