Charles Sawyer, Ole Miss’ junior rover and leader in the secondary, knew Saturday was a big day for first-year head coach Hugh Freeze before the team got off the bus and started filing through the Walk of Champions in the Grove. Sawyer, who just returned to the practice field last week in an attempt to play against Central Arkansas in the opener, said Freeze really wanted to win because of his affection for Ole Miss.
