Rebs’ Wallace overcomes tough week to lead team

Saturday put a nice punctuation on what was an otherwise scary and uncertain week for Ole Miss quarterback Bo Wallace. (more…) (October 15, 2012, Page 2B)

Freeze would make same call again

Hugh Freeze spent an ample portion of Monday’s press conference discussing the past rather than the future.

Two days before, the Rebels had their first Southeastern Conference win in 16 attempts within grasp. Had one of any number of plays gone Ole Miss’ way, the Rebels may have pulled out the elusive win. (more…) (October 9, 2012, Page 6)

Freeze discusses Texas A&M, Auburn, more

VIDEO BLOG: Instead of spending the bulk of Monday’s press conference looking ahead to Saturday’s homecoming game against Auburn, Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze spent the plenty of time looking back at the Rebels’ 30-27 loss to Texas A&M. (more…) (October 8, 2012)

Manziel, Texas A&M rallies past Rebels

Ole Miss’ game with Texas A&M on Saturday night at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium came down to one play, which play was more important, however, is up for debate.

An interception by Ole Miss quarterback Bo Wallace with just over a minute remaining. A safety on Texas A&M’s Johnny Manziel that ultimately wasn’t ruled in the Rebels’ favor. A holding call that thwarted a scoring drive. A fourth-and-inch run that was snubbed out by the Aggies defense. (more…) (October 8, 2012, Page 1B)

Freshman has ability to stress Rebels

Texas A&M’s Johnny Manziel may be a freshman, but the way he has played so far in the first four games for the Aggies has been as good as any senior standout. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound Manziel isn’t just a leader for A&M on the field — he is the offense. (more…) (October 5, 2012, Page 6A)

QB Manziel could give Rebels several problems

It doesn’t take an offensive guru like Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze to realize the Rebels will have their hands full this weekend with Texas A&M and specifically quarterback Johnny Manziel coming to town. (more…) (October 2, 2012, Page 6)

Freeze to open QB competition back up

VIDEO BLOG: Ole Miss hasn’t exactly gone back to the drawing board, but head coach Hugh Freeze did make it pretty clear that just because Bo Wallace has been the man, doesn’t mean he will continue to be QB 1 if he continues to turn over the ball. (more…) (October 1, 2012)

Is going all out at ‘Bama best for Rebels?

COLUMN: Bo Wallace has a bad shoulder and has been limited in practice this week. The fact he’s Ole Miss’ best and most complete quarterback for head coach Hugh Freeze’s system is reason enough to think that the coaching staff might let him rest a while (or an entire game) to preserve Wallace for the rest of the year. (more…) (September 28, 2012, Page 7A)

Freeze sees more from Rebels after Tulane win

After watching film of Saturday’s 39-0 win over Tulane, Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze said his team actually got as close to playing a complete as it has all season. With the exception of three lost fumbles, Freeze seem to think his team did everything expected of them in all three phases.

That’s good news considering the now Rebels (3-1 overall) travel to play at No. 1 Alabama on Saturday night to open their Southeastern Conference schedule. (September 25, 2012, Page 6)

Freeze discusses Alabama, other topics

VIDEO BLOG: Earlier today Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze met with the media during his regularly scheduled press conference at Ole Miss’ Indoor Practice Facility and addressed a number of topics. (more…) (September 24, 2012)
