Lady Commodores romp past Gentry into second round

The Lafayette High softball didn’t have to break much of a sweat to extend its season. The Commodores scored early and poured it on throughout in their opening series of the MHSAA Class 4A playoffs against Gentry on Thursday at the LHS softball, outscoring the Rams 48-0 in a doubleheader. Lafayette won the opener, 26-0, while taking the nightcap, 22-0. (April 24, 2015, Page 1B, 3B)

Commodores fall to division foe Senatobia, 1-0

The Division 2-4A softball title picture got a little clearer on Monday night when Lafayette and Senatobia met at the LHS softball field.  In the first of two meetings this season the more experienced Warriors got the better of the young Commodore team in a 1-0 win. (March 31, 2015, Page 7)

Lafayette gets best of OHS in Oxford Classic

To kickoff the beginning of softball season Oxford and Lafayette played each other in the final game of the Oxford Softball Classic Saturday afternoon. Lafayette came away the victors with a 10-2 win in three innings at the Oxford softball field. (March 1, 2015, Page 4B)

SOFTBALL PREVIEW: ‘Dores looking to build on historic campaign

Last season, the Lafayette High softball team was two games away from playing for a state championship until it ran into a Houston team that swept the Commodores in the North Half series.
