Lafayette learns about itself in loss to Tigers

LHS pitcher throws no-hitter

LAFAYETTE BASEBALL — Lafayette senior right-hander Matt Taylor pitched a complete-game, no hitter Tuesday in the Commodores’ 10-0 win over South Pontotoc  at W.V. Brewer Field. Taylor finished the game with seven strikeouts and he was just two walks away from having a perfect game to his credit. (March 2, 2010, Page 8)

LHS drops two to open baseball season

Lafayette opened the 2010 baseball season with close losses to Mooreville and Itawamba AHS in the Tupelo Tournament. The Commodores lost 5-4 to the Troopers on Friday and lost 5-3 to the Indians on Saturday. (March 1, 2010, Page 10)
