On Monday, recognize the meaning of Memorial Day

With Memorial Day around the corner, L-O-U veterans organizations are gearing up for the holiday, and remembering the lives of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in fighting for the freedom of our country. Some of those veterans, including Vietnam veteran and retired Marine Master Sgt. Gene Hays, want to make sure the community understands the true meaning of Memorial Day, and why it is not appropriate to tell someone “Happy Memorial Day.” (May 22, 2015, Page 1A)

Vietnam vets have a story we need to hear
