Gavin Cecchini has turned from the recruited to the recruiter.

Rebels get commitment from No. 1 prospect in Louisiana

A year ago Gavin Cecchini seemed like he was all set to remain in-state and head to LSU.

Wahl promoted to role as Rebels’ closer

As it turns out Bobby Wahl’s appearance at the end of Sunday’s victory was somewhat of a tryout.

Sunday’s ninth inning performance wasn’t a save situation, but with Jake Morgan’s future still uncertain and the struggles of Brett Huber at the end of games, Ole Miss coach Mike Bianco wanted to see how the Virginia native could handle pitching at the end of games.
