Being reminded that the simpler, the better

FISHIN’ WITH CHICK COLUMN — The biggest fishing news I have to share with you is that my youngest daughter Alivia caught her first fish last Saturday with her grandfather at Grenada spillway.  She called and excitedly said,” Daddy, Daddy, now you have something to write about in your article!”  I can promise you she was no more excited than I was that day.  After I got off the phone, I started thinking about how simple the whole concept of catching a fish was to her, and I was reminded how we as adults complicate everything. (April 1, 2010, Page 6)
