Evelyn Blow Smith, 84, died Thursday, Sept. 15, 2016, at Tranquility Haven in Cocoa, Florida. The funeral service will be Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with the Rev. Eric Hankins officiating.  A catered reception and visitation will begin at noon prior to the service in the West Hall at the funeral home, followed by the burial at Oxford Memorial Cemetery.

Born on a Christmas Day in Talladega, Alabama, to the late Munroe and Nellie Mae Blow, she soon became a War Eagle where she met her late husband Charles Smith, started her family and moved to her now beloved town of Oxford. She always followed God’s Will and was a faithful member of The First Baptist Church where you would find her in the choir every Sunday.  Her passion for Ole Miss football (and Auburn!), gardening and tending to flowers, always took the back seat when it came to her greatest joy — time with grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Her last years were spent closer to her family in the Space Coast of Florida where Chuck and Tami, Steve and Karen, Gary Smith, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren where there to share in her last years.
