MHSAA moves football title games to Ole Miss, MSU

CLINTON — Mississippi’s high school football state championship games are leaving Jackson.

The Mississippi High School Activities Association announced Monday it will be relocating the MHSAA Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi Gridiron Classic State Football Championships for all classifications to the campuses of Ole Miss and Mississippi State. (July 22, 2014, Page 8)

Local teams get shot at ultimate goal

High school football teams in Mississippi have several goals: making the playoffs, practicing Thanksgiving week when school is out, earning a trip to Jackson for the state finals and, ultimately, winning a state championship.
