Faulkner inspires art project, battles blight

A Leadership Lafayette group is using original art pieces, inspired by writer William Faulkner, as part of an effort to make Faulkner Alley on the Square more attractive to visitors and to discourage vandals. The unveiling of the mini outdoor art gallery takes place at 6 p.m. Friday. (July 5, 2012, Page 1)

Fauklner’s Alley could get facelift

A Leadership Lafayette team is hoping to reduce vandalism and people drawing on the walls of Faulkner’s Alley by putting up several works of art, working with the theory that if something appears well cared for, people will take better care of it. The Courthouse Preservation Commission approved the project Monday, however the group still needs the approval of the Board of Aldermen before moving forward. (May 8, 2012, Page 2)
