ABERDEEN — Water Valley’s goal of winning a second straight Region 2-3A title came up short Friday night with a 20-13 loss to the Aberdeen Bulldogs. In a contest where both teams appeared to be even from a size and speed standpoint, it was big plays made by the Bulldogs that allowed them to pull out the victory. Water Valley senior Jeoffrey Gordon has been banged up for most of the season. Friday, the Blue Devil running back showed what he can do when he gets a chance to crack the starting lineup at close to full health.
