Chargers fall to Olive Branch

Despite a seven-run fourth inning, the Oxford High baseball team was unable to overcome a fast start by Olive Branch in a 15-10 loss Tuesday night. The Chargers (1-2) got to within a run of the Conquistadors at 3-2 in the top of the third, but they fell behind by 10 runs after Olive Branch scored nine in the bottom half of the frame. Chargers go 1-1 to start season

Oxford’s baseball team rebounded from a 13-1 loss to Northwest Rankin Saturday to post a come-from-behind win over Ridgeland. The Chargers’ 5-4 win was aided by several players, including Hunt Halford, who earned the win on the mound in relief of starter Zac Barber.
