Battered Ole Miss conclude spring season

Hugh Freeze’s second full spring as Ole Miss head coach was a lot different than his first and so was the annual Grove Bowl game. Injuries to some key players such as quarterback Bo Wallace, wide receiver Donte Moncrief an defensive end C.J. Offense shows improvement in scrimmage

There was actually a smile on Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze’s face following Saturday’s scrimmage at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. With a a week to finish up spring drills and a day after the offense couldn’t do anything against the defense, Freeze had more positive things to say about the way his offense performed. (April 8, 2013, Page 9)

Sluggish start ends with energy for Rebs

As has been the case for much of the spring, Hugh Freeze saw some areas he was encouraged by and others that were disappointing during Wednesday’s practice at the Indoor Practice Facility.

With only a handful of practices remaining in the spring season, culminating in the annual Grove Bowl on April 13, the Rebels are still searching for consistency from day to day.

Successful weekend garners WR commit

Ole Miss wraps up bowl work in Oxford

Ole Miss wrapped up preparations for the BBVA Compass Bowl in Oxford with a practice Monday at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. With the remainder of the practices coming outside at Birmingham Southern, Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze felt it was necessary for his team to get some cold air in their face for the first time since Christmas. (January 2, 2013, Page 6)

Sophomore WR eats up Bulldog secondary

Apparently Donte Moncrief didn’t get his fill on Thanksgiving.

Saturday, the Ole Miss sophomore receiver gorged himself on Mississippi State’s secondary, hauling in seven receptions for a career-high in yards (173) and touchdowns (three). (November 26, 2012, Page 1B)
