Developer revamps plan for hotel

Developers for the proposed Chancellor’s House boutique hotel presented new, updated plan to the Courthouse Square Historic Preservation Commission for a courtesy review Thursday in hopes to get a nod from the commission during an upcoming regular meeting. (November 22, 2013, Page 1A, 3A)

Pita Pit sign gets cool reception

Signs for a new food franchise on the Square were approved Monday by the Courthouse Square Historic Preservation Commission 4 to 1. The commission grudgingly approved the signs for Pita Pit, despite their obvious dislike of the colors and modern look. (February 7, 2012, Page 3)

Historic building’s fate uncertain
