Hinton attempting to take MHSAA to different level
TUPELO — Don Hinton, the man who has led the MHSAA as executive director the past year, has been touring the state with members of his staff, meeting and greeting new coaches and visiting schools that may not have seen someone from the organization in a while.
Hinton took some time off from his road trip Thursday to meet with members of the media where he discussed several topics ranging from re-classification, future scheduling for teams and the possibility of moving championship games, in all sports, to new venues outside of the Metro Jackson area. ‘Crosstown Classic’ to be broadcast on FSS
The annual “Crosstown Classic” football matchup between the Lafayette Commodores and Oxford Chargers just got a little bit bigger this year. For the first time since the rivalry began in 1972, the game will be televised live on Fox Sports South as part of the Bright Lights: Football package sponsored by C Spire Wireless.
