During the first half of Saturday’s home game against UMass, Ole Miss’ women’s basketball team didn’t show any glimpse that it had turned the corner; in fact, the Lady Rebs almost looked like they had regressed.
Ole Miss didn’t come away from last Saturday’s jam-packed game at Louisiana Tech with a win, but the Lady Rebels did feel like they grew from the narrow 57-54 loss, which was played in front of 4,785 fans. (December 7, 2012, Page 6A)
The Lady Rebels opened the game a little flat and didn’t get going until midway through the first half when their defense began forcing turnovers.
