On Sunday, the Cotton States Baseball League’s North Delta Dealers struggled in all three facets of the game, falling to the Tippah County Tribe 8-7.

An incredible ability to swing a bat coupled with improvement in the outfield has led to a new home for Lafayette’s Denzel Goolsby. Goolsby signed a scholarship offer from Northwest Mississippi Community College Thursday to play outfield and potentially hit in the middle of the lineup for the Rangers the next two years. LAFAYETTE BASEBALL — Lafayette senior right-hander Matt Taylor pitched a complete-game, no hitter Tuesday in the Commodores’ 10-0 win over South Pontotoc at W.V. Brewer Field.
