Rebs continue to overcome adversity

Expect different look from Rebels at Florida

Kennedy still tinkering with minutes
Ole Miss’ basketball season may be just getting started in terms of the schedule, but minutes and playing time are apparently starting to shorten as the Rebels move into December.
Friday afternoon’s matchup with Lipscomb at C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum will be another opportunity for some players to showcase their abilities to coach Andy Kennedy, who is trying hard to figure out a consistent rotation before the team is off for a week prior to a home meeting with Rutgers in the Big East/SEC Challenge. Nelson shines in Rebels’ exhibition win
For a game that wasn’t going to count in the win and loss category, Ole Miss guard Dundrecous Nelson played Thursday night’s exhibition game against North Alabama like the Lions were the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Nelson was easily the most impressive player on the court at C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum in a game that the Rebels won 91-62. The sophomore from Jackson, who took a hard fall in a scrimmage with Arkansas-Little Rock two weeks ago, showed the ability to score points (22) as the Rebels’ shooting guard and distribute (nine assists) as a point guard. Overall, Nelson impressed Ole Miss coach Andy Kennedy, who needs him to be one of the main players that replaces the scoring of Chris Warren. (November 4, 2011, Page 10A)
Ole Miss faces tough test at UF
An opportunity to earn a rare road win and gain a tremendous boost in the RPI is what the Ole Miss Rebels and head coach Andy Kennedy are hoping to gain in the Southeastern Conference opener at Florida Saturday.

Kendrick says Rebs right fit for future
The fit just feels right for Jelan Kendrick.
During halftime of the Ole Miss men’s game game against Southeastern Louisiana on Sunday, the former McDonald’s All-American and newest member of the Rebels was made available to the media for the first time.
