A brush with the Oxford Police Department cost two Ole Miss players their spot on the team on Monday. Ole Miss football coach Houston Nutt released rising sophomore linebacker Clarence Jackson and rising sophomore defensive end Delvin Jones from the roster after the two were charged with public drunkenness last Friday. OLE MISS FOOTBALL — A strong final push turned into an outstanding National Signing Day for the Ole Miss football program and Houston Nutt Wednesday. Ole Miss was able to sign some important players for the 2010 class and, in the process, vault up the national recruiting rankings.
