Brassell reflects on past, talks about his future

SCOOBA — Mature was a word that continued to come out of the mouth of Nick Brassell following his team’s victory against the No. 5 Northwest Mississippi Community College Rangers Thursday night. Brassell, who was a standout wide receiver/defensive back at Ole Miss in his first season out of South Panola, helped lead the No. 3 EMCC Lions past the Rangers on both sides of the ball. (October 19, 2012, Page 6A)

Gridiron Rebels land former Seminole DT

Ole Miss didn’t just earn a 41-20 win over Auburn Saturday at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, the Rebels also gained a verbal commitment from a player at a need spot. East Mississippi Community College defensive tackle Darious Cummings (6-foot-3, 310-pounds) became the Rebels’ 20th pledge for the 2013 signing class when he verbally committed Sunday morning following his official visit to Oxford.
