Rebs take series from No. 1 Gators

The Ole Miss Rebels took two of three and the Southeastern Conference series from the top-ranked Florida Gators this weekend, winning Friday night’s opener 4-1 and then the first game of a twin bill Saturday 5-2 before the salvaged an 8-4 victory in the nightcap at Oxford-University Stadium. (March 22, 2015, Page 1B)

Diamond Rebels host No. 1 Florida for SEC home opener

For the second weekend in a row, the Ole Miss baseball team will face a top-5 opponent. Depending on which of the five polls people acknowledge, they are also facing the No. 1 team in the country for the second time in as many weekends as the Rebels (11-9, 1-2 Southeastern Conference) host Florida (19-3, 2-1) for their SEC opening home series. (March 20, 2015, Page 1B)

Diamond Rebels drop SEC opener at LSU

BATON ROUGE, La. – The Ole Miss baseball team opened up SEC play on the wrong end of a 6-4 decision against the No. 1 LSU Tigers Friday night at Alex Box Stadium. The loss dropped the Diamond Rebels to 9-8 on the season, while LSU (17-1, 1-0 SEC) increased its winning streak to 14 games. (March 15, 2015, Page 1B)

Diamond Rebels sweep Stetson in afternoon doubleheader

No. 22 Ole Miss needed good pitching and the offense to have a better day than in recent outings. They got both of them. The Rebels defeated the Stetson Hatters 7-3 in Game 2 of a double header to clinch the weekend series after winning Game 1 by the score of 8-3 on Saturday at Swayze Field. (March 8, 2015, Page 1B, 4B)

Defense aids Rebels in series win over Wright St.

On a day where offense was tough to come by it was defense that made the play when it mattered most. No. 18 Ole Miss beat Wright State 3-2 in Game 2 of Sunday double header thanks to a double play that started with shortstop Errol Robinson snagging a liner hit by Raider Andrew McCafferty then tossing it to second baseman Tate Blackman for the final out and securing the series win. The Rebels (4-2) dropped the first game of the day by a score of 3-1 to create the rubber match. Game 2 was a shortened seven-inning affair. (February 23, 2015, Page 6)

No. 18 Rebels win series over William & Mary

With potentially bad winter weather hitting the area today, the No. 18 Ole Miss baseball team finished its opening series with William & Mary on Saturday with a doubleheader. The first game was one to forget as Sam Smith had a bad outing that did not last four innings as the Rebels fell 8-1 to the Tribe. The Rebels would come back to win the second game 16-2 to claim the weekend series. (February 15, 2015, Page 1B, 3B)
