Davis looking for big gains from OM backs

In Ole Miss’ offense under Houston Nutt, running backs have to learn to share.

All-Americans Darren McFadden and Felix Jones had to do it at Arkansas and now Enrique Davis, a former prep star, is learning how to do it.

While Davis was a standout in high school and at prep school, he admitted on Monday that he wasn’t surprised when he got to Ole Miss and found out that he would be one of several running backs to get carries.

The committee approach is something Davis said he has come to appreciate and understand. (September 17, 2010, Page 6A)
