Chargers clip Jackets to win 5A series

There have been bigger crowds turn out to watch games in the history of Oxford-University Stadium but the atmosphere and the post-game celebration demonstrated by the Oxford Chargers on Monday is going to be hard for the Ole Miss Rebels to top. OHS-Starkville series has been pretty intense

The momentum gained by the Oxford Chargers with two impressive wins over the weekend came to an abrupt halt Tuesday at Edwin Moak Field. Oxford failed to score with the bases loaded three times in the first game of its best-of-three MHSAA Class 5A playoff series with Starkville and the end result was a 6-5 setback. Chargers move up 5A series with Starkville

There won’t be an extra few days to bask in a strong finish to the regular season for the Oxford Chargers.
