New EAGLE owners have local connections

The new owners of The Oxford EAGLE feature connections to Mississippi and the Oxford community. Minority owner Kevin Cooper is married to former Oxford High and Ole Miss graduate Julie Finley, whose parents still live here. Minority owner Steve Stewart once served on the EAGLE staff as a reporter and graduated from Ole Miss. Oxford Newsmedia President Todd Carpenter lives in Natchez and has called Mississippi home for 16 years. (May 2, 2014, Page 9A)
