Hotel builder seeks incentives

The city is considering a request from local hotelier Chan Patel for some tax breaks and incentives to build an 80-bed hotel next to the Oxford Conference Center. The request is for three items: a tax abatement, sidewalks and landscaping funded by the city, and waiver of one-time city fees, such as electrical connections. (February 4, 2010, Page 1)
