Oxford drops 2-5A tilt to New Hope

Oxford’s chances of winning the Region 2-5A championship took a major hit Tuesday night. The Chargers lost to fellow title contender New Hope 4-2 at Edwin Moak Field, dropping a game behind the Trojans in the standings with two region games to go. (April 16, 2014, Page 9)

Chargers rally to defeat West Point

Chargers blast Saltillo to win 2-5A contest

Chargers win slugfest with LHS

The final Crosstown Classic baseball game of 2013 was not for those with an early curfew.

OHS Chargers changing on the fly

Chris Baughman was thrown a looping curveball recently when senior Parker Adamson announced his decision to skip baseball season to focus on his future as a Southern Miss quarterback.

Oxford DE Pegues wins Defensive Player of Year award from MAC in 5A

Xavier Pegues’ dominance on the football field in 2012 for the Oxford Chargers resulted in him being named the Mississippi Association of Coaches Defensive Player of the Year Wednesday.

The 6-foot-4, 240-pound Pegues, who will play in the annual Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic next week, was one of four Chargers who made the annual team on defense and one of six Chargers who made the team overall. (December 5, 2012, Page 6)
