Rebs survive early errors

Ole Miss got its season off to a bit of a rough start on Friday, surrendering three runs in the top of the first inning thanks in large part to two errors in the outfield. Crouse turns successful offseason into Friday night role for Rebels

There’s been plenty of questions surrounding the Ole Miss baseball team heading into today’s season opener against Wright State.

What hasn’t been in question? Who is taking the place of top draft pick Drew Pomeranz as the Friday night starter.

That honor goes to junior left-hander Matt Crouse, and apparently the choice to go with the Virginian was an obvious one. (February 18, 2011, Page 6A)
