Lady Blue Devils drop Game 1 to Nettleton

The Water Valley softball team’s season is on life support after dropping Game 1 of its best-of-three series with the Nettleton Tigers in the second round of the MHSAA Class 3A state playoffs. Nettleton won 16-6 in five innings at Lady Devil Field on Monday evening and will look to close out the series tonight at Nettleton High School for Games 2 and 3, if necessary. (April 28, 2015, Page 3B)

Lady Devils walk their way past Leflore Co.

WATER VALLEY — The Water Valley softball team made quick work of its first-round opponent in the MHSAA Class 3A playoffs, sweeping Leflore County in a pair of games at Lady Devil Field on Thursday.  Each game lasted just three innings and had identical scores of 15-0, helping Water Valley advance to the second round where the Blue Devils will face Nettleton. (April 24, 2015, Page 3B)

Lady ‘Dores run rule Water Valley

WATER VALLEY — After playing Oxford on Thursday night the Lafayette High softball team turned their sights the other area team in Water Valley. Much like their game against the Chargers 24 hours earlier it was an offensive explosion for the Commodores who defeated Water Valley 18-9 at Lady Devil Field on Friday afternoon in their second five-inning game in as many days. (March 29, 2015, Page 2B)

WATER VALLEY – Lafayette’s volleyball team picked up the pace against Water Valley. It helped the Commodores pick up another region victory Tuesday night. Lady Devils fall to Pontotoc in season opener

WATER VALLEY— The Water Valley Lady Blue Devils volleyball team officially kicked off their season Thursday night as they hosted the Pontotoc Lady Warriors.
