Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze has no clue about what is going on with Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel. Regardless of whether the reigning Heisman Trophy winner accepted money for his autographs or not, Freeze does think on a personal level that players in the Southeastern Conference deserve some extra money.
Injured players dominated the discussion during the first two days of Ole Miss’ summer football drills. Junior wide receiver Vince Sanders suffered a broken collarbone during Saturday’s practice and will be out six weeks. He will undergo a surgery to repair the damage Tuesday.
Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze said he didn’t see the injury happen but assumed someone rolled up on Johnson.
Had it been anyone else who was late to practice, he may have had to run laps or stadiums as punishment.
