Sunday Focus – Resort status not easy

To be able to serve beer, wine and liquor in the unincorporated area of Lafayette County, a business must be granted what’s known as resort status. Obtaining such a designation isn’t easy, but three local businesses and the Plein Air commercial district in Taylor have all succeeded. (December 21, 2014, Page 1A)

Plein Air wants to gain resort status

While the Village of Taylor Board of Aldermen voted to shoot down a request by the developers of Plein Air neighborhood in Taylor to sign an application to gain resort status and be able to sell alcohol in its commercial district, Mayor James E.
