WATER VALLEY — Driving toward Bobby Clark Field on Wise Street, it’s hard not to notice the 1990 state championship sign on the right side of the road.
Though the blue and white proclamation is now faded and chipped, it still serves as a reminder of Water Valley’s greatest triumph on the gridiron.

Blue Devils shake off rust in win
VARDAMAN — The Blue Devils can chalk up Friday’s jamboree game as one 40-minute learning experience.

Those in attendance at last weekend’s Scout.com football combine at Tupelo High saw first hand what the Water Valley coaching staff has been saying for years: Chris Conard is a legit talent.

Sixteen Blue Devils advance to 3A regional meet

Talking to Water Valley boys coach John Sherman, you never would have known the final score of the Blue Devils’ Region 2-3A title game against the Aberdeen Bulldogs.

Blue Devils win with ease Tuesday
