Isom’s all-around game leads to Player of Year honor
There was a game early on in the season where the light turned on for Lafayette’s Shaquilla Isom and things got a whole lot easier on the court. It’s not that Isom hadn’t shown flashes of her all-around ability as a sophomore, but there was a marked difference in the way she handled herself on the court compared to any point during the 2008-09 campaign. OHS defeats bigger West Point to advance
Oxford’s Chargers advanced in the Region 2-5A Tournament with a 77-52 win over West Point. The Chargers got balanced scoring to earn the victory, which advances them to a date with New Hope on Friday night in the tourney title game.
