Oxford High School presents Shakespeare’s ‘Hamlet’

Oxford High School will be taking a trip to 16th century England as students and teachers come together to perform an abridged version of Shakespeare’s ‘Hamlet.’ The play will begin at 7:30 tonight in the middle school’s Kayla Mize auditorium. (April 30, 2015, Page 1)

Blackbird Hour to rock the Grove this Sunday

OXFORD TOWN – The Sunset Series in the Grove rolls on this week, featuring a new project fronted by local musicians Brad Hayden and Dave Woolworth called The Blackbird Hour.  Page 11 of this week’s Oxford Town has Kate Anthony’s coverage of one of the new bands in town that’s literally popping up everywhere. Literary groups join forces for reading

The literary group, Oxford Blue Books, started out several years ago as a few local writers and musicians who enjoyed getting together to talk. Now releasing their 9th volume of their publication the Old Blue Book, the group has asked other literary magazines to join them for a reading on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Powerhouse Arts Center. (April 26, 2010, Page 3A)
