Blue Devils start region play looking for revenge against Charleston

The Water Valley Blue Devils (3-3) leveled their record with a win over Winona last week to cap their non-region portion of the schedule. Their reward? Crosstown Classic highlights area prep schedule

The annual showdown between Lafayette and Oxford will take center stage tonight at Bobby Holcomb Field, highlighting this week’s area prep football schedule. The Chargers come into the Crosstown Classic riding the momentum of a convincing 50-15 victory at Cleveland East Side a week ago while Lafayette entered the win column for the first time with a 3-0 win over DeSoto Central. Water Valley hasn’t had the same success lately, taking a two-game losing streak into tonight’s game against Bruce at Bobby Clark Field.
