NIT not big news in New York?
SPORTS EDITOR’S BLOG — I got to say that I was a little disappointed that there was nothing in today’s Daily News about tonight’s NIT games. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been here for this event before and know that it’s not a huge deal compared to the way we cover college sports, but there wasn’t even a story about it in the tabloid I consider the best in the city today.

OM’s Kennedy talks NCAA Tournament
Just because the Ole Miss Rebels aren’t in the NCAA Tournament doesn’t mean that coach Andy Kennedy hasn’t been keeping up with how things are going in the “Big Dance.” Kennedy, a self admitted college basketball junkie, said he’s watched a good bit of the tournament and he called Kansas State’s win over Xavier Thursday night in the “Sweet 16″ an “instant classic.”
