OPC board steps back from Woodlawn Park

The Oxford Park Commission decided Wednesday it was better to wait until they had enough money to built a walking trail and park near the Woodlawn subdivision rather than rush it and do it in piecemeal and leaving phases incomplete. With just $120,000 to work with for Phase 1, most commissioners felt it was just too early to consider the project. (May 16, 2014, Page 3A)

New hospital moves forward

Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi is moving forward with the construction of its new regional $300 million facility and has completed two of five conditions put on its site plan by the Oxford Planning Commission, which included the final design of the connection at Belk Boulevard and Old Taylor Road. (October 15, 2013, Page 1, 2)
