It was exciting to see the Oxford High School student newspaper, The Charger, earn the prestigious Pacemaker Award for journalistic excellence. Lafayette’s Hamann makes history

CLINTON — The Lafayette girls, sparked by individual gold medalist Peyton Hamann and two others in the top six performers, claimed third place in the MHSAA Class 4A state cross-country meet held Saturday at Mississippi College’s Choctaw Trails.

The Oxford Chargers came in third in the Class 5A boys state cross-country meet, while the OHS girls and Lafayette boys each finished fourth in their team competitions. (more…) (November 12, 2012, Page 4B)
