Chargers post successful weekend with three wins

Oxford’s trip to Alcorn County over the weekend produced three one-sided tennis wins.

The Chargers improved their record to 16-0 overall as a team heading into the Class 5A playoffs this week by defeating Tishomingo County, Corinth and Alcorn Central. All of the matches were won by the scores of 7-0. (April 19, 2010, Page 3B)

OHS honored at MSPA

Oxford High School Charger newspaper student editor Cathy Chen took home the Editor of the Year award and OHS Principal Bill Hovious was named the Administrator of the Year  at this year’s Mississippi Scholastic Press Association Awards. Oxford tennis team smashes Saltillo Tigers

The Oxford Chargers tennis squad made a clean sweep of divisional rival Saltillo Monday, knocking off the Tigers 7-0.
