Fest heats up sales

The Oxford Downtown Council invites everyone to its annual Summer Fest on the Square which will feature sidewalk sales from participating merchants, face painting, balloon art and free snacks. (August 8, 2014, Page 1A)

Parking commission approves changes

During its regular meeting Friday, the commission agreed on ordinance changes to the current laws that increase the two-hour parking restrictions from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday to 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The new ordinance also changes the fine structure for violating the two-hour parking restriction. (August 13, 2012, Page 1)
