Oxford High boys top field in Pontotoc cross-country meet

The Oxford High boys picked up right where they left off at the end of last year’s cross-country season as they had the second- and third-place finishers and then three more runners in the top 16 en route to the Class 5A championship in the Pontotoc Cross Country Invitational held Saturday morning at the at the Cherry Creek Orchard. (September 14, 2014, Page 5B)

Chargers take home OMS Invitational

The Oxford Middle School Chargers used an outstanding performance in field events and a balanced showing in running events to win the annual OMS Invitational track meet Oxford High’s Bobby Holcomb Field Thursday afternoon.

Oxford totaled 71 points to capture the title, while Tunica and Byhalia were second and third with 56 and 55 points respectively. (March 30, 2012, Page 8A)
