March madness – even with three more teams

Increasing the field for the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championships from 65 to 68 teams made the job of picking the teams much easier for the selection committee, right? 2010 season big for LSU’s Miles

It may sound strange to hear that a coach that won 11 or more games his first three seasons as well as a national championship is on the hot seat, but that’s exactly the case for Les Miles at LSU. Belcher gets nod against Rebs

The Ole Miss Rebels and South Carolina Gamecocks both had chances to claim division titles going into the last weekend of the regular season, and both came up short. Now, the two teams square off in the first round of the SEC Tournament in Hoover, Ala.

The coaching staffs of the two programs are taking different approaches to the SEC tournament. USC is holding its top two pitchers to keep them on the regular schedule heading into the NCAA Regionals, while Mike Bianco isn’t holding anything back and will send ace Drew Pomeranz to the mound Wednesday afternoon. (May 25, 2010, Page 8)
