Oxford capped off a perfect regular season on the court Monday afternoon with a 7-0 win over Lafayette at Avent Park. Lafayette’s Alley Houghton recorded a hat trick before 20 minutes had elapsed off the clock in Tuesday’s soccer match with Horn Lake at William L. Buford Stadium. Houghton finished with five goals overall in the Lady Commodores’ 7-1 victory over the Lady Eagles.

The Lafayette Lady Commodores opened their season 2-0 after knocking off Saltillo 3-2 and South Pontotoc 6-0 on Saturday. Alley Houghton scored all three goals against Saltillo and chipped in another four goals against SPHS. Abbey Pate scored Lafayette’s other two goals against the Lady Cougars.
